Identifying the Most Probable Human Errors Influencing Maritime Safety

چکیده
In the traditional and extended shipboard operation human reliability analysis (SOHRA) model, error-producing condition (EPC) is critical. The weight proportion of each EPC in one specific task are often determined by experts’ judgments, including most modified versions. Due to this subjectivity, result recommended safety measures may not be as accurate they should be. This study attempts narrow gap proposing a novel approach, combination SOHRA, entropy method, TOPSIS model. method employed decide based on foundation SOHRA A cargo-loading from container ship analyzed verify results suggest that entropy-weighted can effectively determine weights EPCs, eight probable errors identified.

The Most Probable Database Problem
This paper proposes a novel inference task for probabilistic databases: the most probable database (MPD) problem. The MPD is the most probable deterministic database where a given query or constraint is true. We highlight two distinctive applications, in database repair of key and dependency constraints, and in finding most probable explanations in statistical relational learning. The MPD probl...
متن کاملHuman Factors and Safety Culture in Maritime Safety (revised)
As in every industry at risk, the human and organizational factors constitute the main stakes for maritime safety. Furthermore, several events at sea have been used to develop appropriate risk models. The investigation on maritime accidents is, nowadays, a very important tool to identify the problems related to human factor and can support accident prevention and the improv...
متن کاملThe Most Probable Size of the Universe
It has recently been suggested, by Firouzjahi, Sarangi, and Tye, that string-motivated modifications of the Hartle-Hawking wave function predict that our Universe came into existence from “nothing” with a de Sitter-like spacetime geometry and a spacetime curvature similar to that of “low-scale” models of Inflation. This means, however, that the Universe was quite large at birth. It would be pre...
متن کاملThe most probable string: an algorithmic study
The problem of finding the consensus (most probable string) for a distribution generated by a weighted finite automaton or a probabilistic grammar is related to a number of important questions: computing the distance between two distributions or finding the best translation (the most probable one) given a probabilistic finite state transducer. The problem is undecidable with general weights and...
متن کاملOn the Robustness of Most Probable Explanations
In Bayesian networks, a Most Probable Explanation (MPE) is a complete variable instantiation with the highest probability given the current evidence. In this paper, we discuss the problem of finding robustness conditions of the MPE under single parameter changes. Specifically, we ask the question: How much change in a single network parameter can we afford to apply while keeping the MPE unchang...
